Indian Motorcycle Philippines launched their latest offering last February 22, 2018 at the Cove Manila in Okada.  The Indian Scout Bobber, lives up to its ‘bobber’ inspiration with its minimalist, purpose-built style for enhanced performance and stripped of unnecessary accessories.  With classic lines and a simple, modern, aggressive look, it is aimed at appealing to younger riders.

Distinct to the Bobber are an all-new tank badge with bold block lettering,a short rear fender with the traditional chopped look,as well as a shortened front fender to match.

It sports a raw mechanical look, very different from its chromed brethren in the Indian line up. By contrast, it offers a blacked out frame, mirrors, handlebars, exhaust pipes and front headlight nacelle. Black cast aluminum wheels are shod on 130/90-16 front and 150/80-16 rear knobby tires that enhance its aggressive street style. The low-slung leather seat (649mm in height) compliments the Scout Bobber’s minimalism.

Even with its slammed stance, it offers a smooth ride with cartridge forks and expert-tuned suspension.  The low-rise profile of the street tracker handlebars puts the rider in an aggressive forward position.  The bar-end mirrors can sit up or be slung downward.  On the rear, two simple LED lights function as tail, stop and turn signals.

Its powered by a 69-cubic inch liquid cooled V-Twin that puts out 100-horsepower at 8,000rpm with 97-Nm of torque at 6,000rpm, mated to a robust six-speed transmission. Stopping is done up front by a single 298mm disc with dual piston calipers and around the back with a single piston caliper on a single 298mm disc.

Price starts at Php1.035M for the Thunder Black color and Php1.050M for the Thunder Black Smoke, Bronze Smoke, Star Silver Smoke and Indian Motorcycle Red. The Indian Scout Bobber is available at their dealership at 102 P. Tuazon in Quezon City.
