Apple shows support to Australia’s approval of same-sex marriage with ad

It’s amazing to note that at a time when people have already set a course for the colonization of Mars, many beliefs still exist that tend to discriminate, alienate, and even ostracize those who have been part of our society and all other societies that were there before us since the dawn of man.

For example racism and gender-bias in recent events have again reared its ugly head and reminded everybody that with whatever gains many of us think we have had, there will always be setbacks.

Still, despite these obstacles, a new wave has hit a country like Australia that has recently approved same-sex marriage.

To celebrate this positive development for the LGBT community’s cause, Apple showed its support for the progress made by Australia by coming up with a one-minute advertisement entitled “First Dance,” which was released on Sunday.

The ad for iPhone X shows a montage of the first dance of same-sex couples with the cover of INXS “Never Tear US Apart” sang by Courtney Barnett as its music.

The couples were married over the past month, and their first dances were shot using the newest Apple phone.

Australia approved same-sex marriage after some 61 percent voted favoring it.
