Bridge of peace

This perilous task of crossing the river on foot will be a thing of the past for this farmers, who have to regularly go to the market to sell abaca fiber in the hinterland village of Gupitan in Kapalong, Davao del Norte, with the recent inauguration of a bridge which could be seen in the background. The construction of the bridge was undertaken through the Office of the Presidential Adviser on the Peace Process’ (OPAPP) Payapa at Masaganang Pamayanan (PAMANA) program. (Keith Bacongco)
