Los Baños City, Laguna — Gunmen aboard a motorcycle ambushed a car, killing both women on board in this city the other day, police said.

Homicide investigators identified the fatalities as Crispina Mendoza, 55, separated, a bookkeeper; and Wilma Aguinaldo, 60, separated. Both were residents of Barangay Bañadero, Calamba City, Laguna and succumbed to bullet wounds while being treated at the Healthserv Medical Center an hour after the ambush at 5:20 p.m.

It was learned that the killers were riding in tandem on a Rusi motorcycle without a license plate when they attacked the victims’ green Toyota Corolla (WDV-384) along the road in Sitio Libis, Ramos Subdivision, Barangay Lalakay, here.

After getting close to the car, the motorcycle riders fired into the victims’ vehicle. The car then collided with the motorcycle, throwing off the assailants.

But the killers managed to get up and flee the crime scene on foot, police said. Investigators were still determining the motive in the attack and the identities of the gunmen.
