Two police officers will be facing dismissal from service after they were tested positive for drugs in the recent surprise drug tests conducted in Police Regional Office 7.

Last week of January Police Regional Office headquarters, Lapu-Lapu City Police Office, Cebu City Police Office conducted random drug tests and two policemen with rank of PO2 were allegedly found positive in the drug test.

Police Regional Office Director, Chief Supt. Robert Quenery said in an interview with Manila Bulletin that they’re still waiting for the confirmatory test but definitely if proven positive the two police officer will be kicked out from service.

Quenery said this serves as a warning to all policemen to stop in their illegal activities especially drug involvement because they will not stop in cleaning their organization from police scalawags.

He added that during his leadership he aims to get rid of all police scalawags especially those who are involved in drugs.

Quenery said there’s no reason for policemen to get involved with illegal activities since they were fully supported by the President.

The two police officers would undergo investigation and would also be given a chance to explain their side.
