Four suspected drug peddlers nabbed after SPD conducts buy-bust operation

Four suspected drug peddlers were arrested after a buy bust operation was conducted by the District Drug enforcement Unit (DDEU) of the Southern Police District (SPD) in Parañaque City yielding 10 sachets of shabu on Friday.

PO3 Alberto R Canonigo Jr., officer on case, identified the suspects as Mc Artney Ramos alias "Ewa," 28, resident of 478 Santol St., Sampaloc Site 2, Barangay B.F. Homes, Parañaque City; Joshua Ramos, 22, resident of 478 Santol St., Sampaloc Site 2, Brgy. B.F Homes, Parañaque City; Michael Rebato, 25, resident of 273 Bayabas St., Sampaloc Site 2, Brgy. BF Homes, Parañaque City; and, Arnold Manangkil, 18, resident of Sunkist St., Sampaloc Site 2 Brgy. BF Homes, Parañaque City.

Initial investigation revealed that elements of the DDEU led by PCI Jerry Amindalan conducted a drug sting operation at about 5 p.m. on Friday at , 478 Santol St., Sampaloc Site 2, Brgy. B.F Homes, Parañaque City.

SPO2 Romeo Pepito who acted as poseur-buyer, successfully purchased one sachet of shabu worth P5,000 from Salazar before arresting the latter.

Police recovered seven more sachets of suspected shabu hidden inside a black pouch of one of the suspects. They also recovered one sachet each from suspects Ramos and Rebato.

The arrested suspects will be brought to the SPD Crime Laboratory for a drug test as well as the seized pieces of drug evidence for a laboratory examination.

A case for Violation of Sections 5 and 11 of Article II of Republic Act 9165 or the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act is being prepared for filing before the Parañaque City Prosecutor’s Office.
