Perpetual stakes mark

University of Perpetual Help stakes its clean record today when it squares off with Emilio Aguinaldo College in the NCAA men’s volleyball tournament at The Arena in San Juan City.

Game time is at 9:30 a.m. with the Altas seeking their fourth straight victory to join pacesetter Arellano Chiefs atop the leaderboard.

Eager to duplicate its title feat two seasons ago, Perpetual Help came off to a hot start with straight-set wins over Lyceum, San Beda and San Sebastian.

Altas’ veteran mentor Sammy Acaylar hopes they can sustain their fiery rhythm with Ronniel Rosales and Rey Taneo leading the offensive onslaught.

But EAC is not intimidated.

Still high from a hard-earned 26-24, 21-25, 24-26, 25-21, 16-14 win over Jose Rizal University Bombers last week, the Generals are eager to improve their 2-1 mark at crowded third place.

Other men’s match pit Letran (0-3) and Lyceum (0-3) at 2 p.m. In women’s play, EAC tries to crawl out of the dark hole when it meets Perpetual at 11 a.m.
