A man accused of stealing electrical wirings from a construction site in Tondo, Manila has been arrested by the police today.
A report reaching Supt. Santiago David Pascual III, Moriones-Tondo Police Station chief, identified the suspected thief as Ryan Purisima, 30, while his cohort who still remains at-large was identified as “Bronson,” who is believed to be in his 20s.
Initial investigation showed that the two men were seen roaming around the construction site’s parking area on C.M. Recto Avenue on Wednesday at about 9 p.m.
Investigators said Bronson took the electrical wire, while Purisima served as lookout. It’s not yet clear how many electrical wirings were stolen.
The following day, the construction site’s timekeeper Dominador Mañiego, 47, noticed the incident and immediately informed their security personnel and checked their closed circuit television footages.
A follow-up operation was launched by the police that resulted in the arrest of Purisima in Barangay 248, Zone 1.
Purisima was brought to the police station while a theft charge is now being readied against him before the City Prosecutor’s Office.
