HomeJobs Philippines, an Australian-led job search firm, will soon launch its operations in the Philippines to provide free platform for job searchers who are looking to find home-based work.
Jeremy Raymond, co-Founder of HomeJobs, said his company will formally launch HomeJobs.Ph — which already has over 55,000 Filipinos signing up — in a couple of months to cater to the growing demand for home-based jobs in the Philippines.
HomeJobs platform, which is 100 percent free for both employers and employees, finds work for Filipinos to do jobs from home, with many of these jobs paying more than what local jobs would traditionally pay.
Jobs that are frequently posted are from companies in all parts of the world, including the United States, United Kingdom, Australia and New Zealand.
"We believe the formal launch will be in one to two months. At the moment we have a team of 10 programmers working on the platform. It is a lot of work," Raymond said.
"We are busy populating the system and contacting employers to be the first ones to register on the system... at the moment, we have close to 1,500 committed employers," he added.
As of now, Raymond said 55,000 people have already pre-registered to join the job search platform.
Raymond explained that HomeJobs.Ph is "completely different" from other existing home-based job search platforms because it doesn’t charge commission.
"HomeJobs is different – it is free to apply for jobs and employer’s first job post is free. As there are no fees taken from either side, this brings more employers and employees together, which is evident in the amount of people who have signed up before even opening the platform. It is a win-win for both employers and employees and a game changer in the industry," he further said.
From Virtual Assistants, Customer Service, Web Developers, Programmers, Writers, SEO Experts, Salesmen and more – the one-stop platform is on path to become Philippines' top place to find work to do from home and opens up the world to talented Filipinos.
To help employers choose the right candidates, the startup is set to include in its platform optional tests, DISC profile tests, IQ tests, typing tests, Internet speed tests and grammar tests that applicants can take.
"These are all, of course, free and optional but the stronger your profile, the better it is your chances of getting employed," Raymond said.
As the pre-launch demand grows, Raymond said the company even "had to temporarily shut down our website because there was so much demand our server couldn’t handle it”.
