Performance Card (Part II)
MANILA, Philippines — Under the strategic priorities within the “internal business process” perspective, we find the following measures, targets, and strategic initiatives as the Board of Trustees specified:
a) Global recognition for the Performance Governance System (PGS) pathway and other Institute of Corporate Directors (ICD) offerings:
A 1st measure: “number of classes regularly held abroad with ICD participation” – 4 by 2020.
A 2nd measure: “number of corporations pursuing PGS” – 20 by 2020.
A 3rd measure: “number of corporates gaining hall of fame status” – 12 by 2020.
A 4th measure: “number of non-Filipino IODs adopting the PGS” – 5.
As strategic initiatives (in addition to those in Learning & Growth): “faculty exchange program with foreign institutions,” “establish common certification and recognition programs for students/participants among Asian IODs”.
b) Investment forum with global character:
The measure: “number of forums” – 2 per year.
The strategic initiatives are similar to those listed under Learning and Growth priorities.
Those priorities within the “constituency” perspective would have these elements:
a) ICD as a platinum brand:
A 1st measure: “number of ICD Fellows recognized as economic heroes” – 50 by 2020;
A 2nd measure: “number of elite Life Fellows” – 30 by 2020;
The strategic initiative: “continuing program to retain, develop and recruit “champions” of corporate governance.”
b) Sectoral compliance scorecards:
The measure: “number of sectors with scorecards sustained over 5 years” – 4 + 4 by 2020.
The strategic initiative: “review and upgrade process and standards while maintaining integrity.”
c) Team CG Philippines:
A 1st measure: “frequency of meetings with regulators per year” – 2;
A 2nd measure: “number of regulatory agencies attending regular meetings” – 9 by 2020.
A strategic initiative: “formalize and organize the operation of Team CG Philippines with ICD as secretariat.”
