Valerie Bondoc is Rachel Weisz’s stand-in; Team Pacquiao mulls 70-30% fight purse for bout vs. Mayweather

MANILA, Philippines – French-Filipina model Valerie Bariou-Bondoc, wife of former teen actor Onemig Bondoc, is happy to be chosen as Rachel Weisz's body double in the Hollywood film, “The Bourne Legacy.”
Noting that Rachel has a different stunt double for her action scenes, "State of the Nation" reported on Jan. 23 that among the sequences shot earlier that day outside the NAPOCOR Compound on Agham Road, Quezon City were those featuring Valerie. However, the former QTV VJ begged off from disclosing details about the shoot.
“It’s [a] great experience. I’m just so impressed with the whole team. I get to meet a lot of wonderful people with so much, you know, like, they’ve done so many big movies already.
“I feel really humbled. I feel like, wow, you know. I’m just so far, far, far behind. They’ve done so much,” Valerie said in a taped interview aired in the same story.
Despite the distinct physical similarities between her and Rachel, Valerie refused to be compared to the Hollywood actress, whom she described as “kind” and “so pretty.”
“I wouldn’t want to, you know, say that I look like her. But yeah, there was a lot of comparisons because of my height, cheekbones and then the complexion,” she added.
Meanwhile, Hollywood actor Edward Norton is reportedly already in Manila to shoot for “Bourne.”
On Sunday night, ABS-CBN journalist Ces Oreña Drilon confirmed via Twitter, “Guess who just flew in to Manila! Ed Norton. We were on the same flight!”
Ces did not post further details of her flight, but described in another tweet that the “Bourne” antagonist was “looking very tropical” in “a Panama hat and a linen shirt.”
Shooting for the movie continues today at the Navotas Fish Port Complex. A live report on “Unang Hirit,” Tuesday morning, said that tighter security will be employed, with more than 50 security guards deployed in the area in addition to maritime police and members of the Navotas police.
In other news, “Unang Hirit,” citing Manny Pacquiao’s best friend and trainer Buboy Fernandez, reported that Team Pacquiao is still mulling over Floyd Mayweather Jr.’s proposal to have a 70-30% revenue sharing should their still highly-anticipated match push through.
“Ang gusto raw kasi ni Pretty Boy (Mayweather) ay 70-30 ang revenue sharing kasama na ang pay-per-view shares, malaking pagkakaiba sa 50-50 na hatian na gusto ni Manny,” according to the report aired on Tuesday.
It added that the match will most likely be held either in June or October, contrary to the May 5 date mentioned by Mayweather on Twitter last week when he called Manny out to fight.
For his part, the athlete-politician told “SONA” on Jan. 20 that he has already picked his next opponent, whose name he will announce sometime this week. Aside from Mayweather, other boxers considered were Miguel Cotto, Timothy Bradley, and Juan Manuel Marquez.
But no matter who his opponent will be, Manny guaranteed, “Masisiyahan ang mga tao para sa susunod na laban.”
