MANILA, Philippines — By their color, you shall know them.

To augment security within Bureau of Customs premises, the agency is adopting a color-coded scheme in their ID system.

Customs Commissioner Ruffy Biazon has approved the use of color-coded radio frequency ID system which will be implemented soon.

BoC Public Information and Assistance Division chief Elenita Abano said that under the project, only “duly appointed personnel” or those with plantilla positions and approved tenure with the BoC would be issued with the IDs.

Those who do not have an “employee-employer relationship” with the bureau such as daily visitors, employees of the Commission on Audit, the Ombudsman and contractors would be issued a “Visitor's Access Pass.”

The ID access will only be limited to the unit or department where they have business or transactions.
