Asked if he thinks Jewel is the right girl for him, Abalos said: 'Ipinagdarasal ‘ko'

MANILA, Philippines – Actor Jason Abalos couldn’t be happier now that he is into a romantic relationship with young actress Jewel Mische.

Despite trying  to evade the question the first time with his cryptic response “masaya ang puso ‘ko” to host Boy Abunda’s question if he’s in love, he eventually made the revelation in the Jan. 17 episode of “Bandila’s” “Ikaw Na!’ segment when flatly directed to answer either yes or no to the query.

He continued in the “Bandila" interview, "Parang ngayon, wala akong kahit anumang bitterness. Siguro natuto akong makuntento sa buhay [pertaining to his lovelife]."

In an earlier interview with PEP, the actor admitted that Mische is “very special” to him because “siya ‘yung bumago ng buhay ‘ko. Siya ‘yung naging daan sa pagkakaroon ‘ko ng faith ngayon."

Asked in the same PEP report what drew him to the actress, the touted “Prince of Daytime Drama” explained, "Unang-una kasi, lumaki ako sa pamilya na relihiyoso.

"Kumbaga, nagkataon lang na nung nag-showbiz ako, nabarkada, medyo naiba ‘yung landas 'ko. Siguro nagpapasalamat lang ako na 'eto ulit ako, bumabalik—at dahil iyan kay Jewel."

He added, “Sobra siyang devoted sa kung anuman 'yung ginagawa niya.

"Para sa akin, 'yun ang bagay na kailangan 'ko kasi alam 'ko naman kung gaano ako kahina. Siguro para sa akin, siya 'yung mag-aakay."

Jason recounted that their paths crossed when Mische transferred to ABS-CBN in 2010. They were introduced to each other by actress Maja Salvador who instantly became friends with Mische back then.

"’Eh, kaibigan ‘ko naman si Maja, kaya ‘yun, nagkakilala din kami ni Jewel...'Tapos ‘yun, minsan niyaya niya [Jewel] ako sa church nila. Christian siya," said Jason.

Jason also revealed to PEP that he has already met Jewel's family.
