Red Cross attends to 104 devotees
MANILA, Philippines — Some 104 devotees of the Black Nazarene have been attended to by the Philippine Red Cross (PRC) as of 12 p.m. Monday.
The devotees complained from wound injuries, exhaustion, dehydration to blood pressure taking.
“Forty One (41) devotees with minor injuries were treated and 56 devotees, as of this posting, also had their blood pressure taken,” PRC said.
“PRC also transported 7 devotees to Ospital ng Maynila and Philippine General Hospital (PGH). Six (6) devotees were brought to the hospital due to dizziness, difficulty of breathing and chest pain. Meanwhile, one devotee was brought to the hospital due to possible elbow dislocation while one pregnant woman was transported to Ospital ng Maynila due to dizziness,” PRC added.
There were a total of 350 PRC staff and volunteers with 19 ambulances deployed in different areas in Metro Manila. The volunteers were equipped and trained to provide first aid to injured patients at the Feast of Black Nazarene.
