Toni dreams of becoming a producer

MANILA, Philippines – Aside from acting, singing and hosting, Toni Gonzaga wants to try her hand in producing concerts and her own TV show.

Apparently, this epiphany came to her while preparing for her 10th showbiz anniversary concert, “Toni @ 10” held in late September.

“Oo 'yun siguro kasi 'yung concert ko sa Araneta, parang I was part of the whole process of everything... So na-enjoy ko,” the multimedia star was quoted by abs-cbnnews.com on Dec. 9.

Speaking from previous experience, Toni elaborated that producing is “very hard work pero at the same time, if you finished a project like that, eh very fulfilling as an artist and as a producer when you get something accomplished.”

On Thursday, Toni inked a three-year contract with ABS-CBN, shortly after her fellow long-time Kapamilya stars Sarah Geronimo and Bea Alonzo renewed their own contracts with the station in the same week.

Toni, who has been with the Kapamilya network for seven years now, affirmed, “Mananatili akong Kapamilya.”

Currently, the multimedia star is one of the co-hosts on daily noontime show “Happy Yipee Yehey” and Sunday talk show “The Buzz.”

In related news, Toni was among those hailed by the Anak TV Seal as Most Admired Female Personalities during the award ceremony held on Thursday morning.

Other personalities honored under this category were singer Sarah Geronimo; actresses Angel Locsin, Anne Curtis, Kim Chiu and Judy Ann Santos; journalists Karen Davila, Vicky Morales, Jessica Soho and Bernadette Sembrano; and ABS-CBN president and CEO Charo Santos-Concio.
