MANILA, Philippines – “Hindi na, Tito Boy, low batt na eh.”

This was actress Melissa Ricks’ response to host Boy Abunda’s question on whether or not she would take the call of her ex-boyfriend Jake Cuenca, should he call her during her guest appearance in the Nov. 15 episode of “Bandila.”

The former “Star Circle Teen Quest” alumna, who got off from her two-year relationship with Cuenca almost eight months ago, now gamely divulged to Abunda, in the latter’s “Ikaw Na!” segment, the qualities of the “man of her dreams.”

The 21-year-old actress was very particular in terms of the physical attributes of her ideal guy.

For instance, for the guy’s eye color, Ricks said she would want him to have brown eyes. As for the skin tone, the Fil-Am actress said she prefers that he be “moreno” or olive-skinned.

In terms of her ideal man’s physique, Ricks stated that she wants him to be “macho or medium built.” And when asked if she wanted a good boy or a bad boy, she quickly chose the latter.

Closing the slew of questions pertaining to her “The One,” she was asked if her ideal man could be from showbiz, and she responded with a smile, “Doesn’t matter.”

Elisa and Melissa

The star of ABS-CBN’s thriller teleserye titled “Nasaan ka Elisa?” likewise answered personal questions about where she is now in terms of her career and her life.

Ricks, who's been active in the business since 2004, related that at this point in her life, she’s “growing up. Marami pang dapat matutunan and I’m finding myself.”

As for her career, Ricks revealed that she’s very happy with how she’s faring in the business.

“I’m very very happy with everything that’s been going on. Lalo na sa career ko. I’m very blessed na mataas ang rating ng ‘[Nasaan Ka] Elisa?’ and I have upcoming projects so I’m happy,” said she.

With her much-talked about breakup early this year, Ricks was asked by Abunda, “Nasaan ang puso mo?”

To this she lightheartedly replied, “Ang puso ko nandito pa rin, Tito Boy, tumitibok.”

Medyo nahuli ako ng konti,” she said, smiling.

As for “Nasaan ka nung nagsabog ang Diyos ng kapangyarihan para magpatawad?” Melissa said, “Nasa harapan ako Tito Boy.”

The last question thrown at her was, “Nasaan ka ‘pag umiiyak ang puso mo?”

“Kasama ng mga taong nagmamahal sa akin,” she quipped with resolve.

Ricks related that, among those who love her, at the front line would definitely be her friends, the ChuRiGoGoBaShu—the name of her group to which she belongs, composed of Kim Chiu, Erich Gonzales, Beauty Gonzales, Kitkat and Empress Shuck.
