Rufa Mae Quinto back to producing films, joins international company

MANILA, Philippines – Sexy host-comedienne Rufa Mae Quinto has not only revived her career as producer but she does so this time with international company Brown Sugar Productions.
"Dati tumigil ako sa pagpo-produce... Now I'm back!
"Gusto ko mag-upgrade pero siyempre, I'm representing Filipinos na rin” she declared in a report by PEP, referring to her local TV/film production company On Q-28 Productions, whose previous projects include “Apat Dapat, Dapat Apat: Friends 4 Lyf and Death“ in 2007 and “Status: Single” in 2009.
The Kapuso actress is the only female producer in their company, whose partners include Boy2 Quizon, Bullet Jalosjos, Martin Aviles, and Miguel Vasquez.
Rufa Mae revealed some of the upcoming projects for Brown Sugar.
The company would likewise produce a prank show titled “Prankista,” which will air on GMA News TV and hosted by Boy 2.
"I think ipapalabas by the last quarter of the year," said Rufa Mae.
A number of producers have also shown interest in shooting a film here in the country, Rufa Mae enthused.
"Tinawagan kami... may international movie [producer] na gusto nila mag-shoot dito,” she was quoted as saying in the same PEP report.
Walk down the aisle
While her close friend Pia Guanio has already settled down with businessman Steve Mago, Rufa Mae is not in a hurry to do the same with her non-showbiz fiancé, who, up to now, she still hasn’t named.
In a separate PEP report, the “Bubble Gang” mainstay said, "Hindi naman sa hindi natuloy. Tapos, may babayaran kang malaking-malaking bill, so I have to work, 'di ba?” she said, referring to her grandmother Lucing who succumbed to colon cancer in August.
Siyempre, kailangan marami kang ipon, eh... So, 'yon ang dahilan din kung bakit deadma din muna ‘yung wedding this year,” she added.
Nevertheless, Rufa Mae hopes she would exchange vows with her beau in 2012.
