Letran marks Quezon’s 133rd birth anniversary
Colegio de San Juan de Letran recently celebrated the 133rd birth anniversary of one of its foremost alumni, President Manuel Luis Quezon, with simple rites at the Letran chapel and garden.
The occasion was graced by Quezon’s family, daughter Zenaida “Nini” Quezon-Avancena, Undersecretary Manuel Quezon III, Yael Buencamino Borromeo, Alberto Avancena with daughter Liza, and Benjamin Avancena with wife Imelda.
A mass was celebrated in memory of Quezon with Rev. Fr. Tamerlane Lana, O.P. as main celebrant and concelebrated by the priests from the Convent of St. John Lateran. The mass, in keeping with the spirit of “Buwan ng Wika”, is in Filipino.
