MANILA, Philippines – “America’s Got Talent” (AGT) judge Piers Morgan thinks that for all her beauty and singing talent, Filipino-American Thia Megia is  “just not good enough” to move higher on "American Idol."

"These shows always find out the real talent... You can tell everyone, 'You're the best thing since sliced bread,' but actually, in these shows, you get found out because there's too many elements, too many parts of the process," "Access Hollywood" quoted him as saying.

Morgan has met Megia. He was among AGT's panel of judges back in 2009, when Megia was a contestant in the show. She only got as far as the quarterfinals round.

"She was actually 12 when she came on to our show,” recalled Morgan’s fellow AGT judge Sharon Osbourne in the same interview. “She was only 12 and to be fair to her, she is 16 now.

Osbourne is still undecided on Megia.

"She's just...she's good, she's pretty, but...who knows," she said.

On Thursday (Friday in Manila), Megia was voted off AI. She received the least votes from viewers of the show alongside co-contestant Naima Adedapo.

In interviews after her elimination, Megia said she was “devastated” with the ouster but that she has decided not to dwell too much on it.

“I am very excited about the future,”she told USA Today. “I know in my heart that this is not the end of my music career. There is so much more that you're going to see of me and hear of me.”

Megia is going to be part of the upcoming “American Idol” tour and she’s very much thrilled about her prospects.

“I’ll be able to sing more songs that I haven't been able to on the show. I'm excited for the tour,” she said.
