Actress Katrina Halili and Dr. Vicki Belo have escalated their word war by virtually calling the other a liar when they aired contradicting stories in the July 5 episode of showbiz-oriented TV program “Showbiz Central.”

The two talked about what transpired before the Hayden Kho-Katrina Halili sex video was released.

Belo said: “It was Christmas and I called Katrina and asked her to come out with me for dinner. During dinner, I asked her, ‘Katrina, I need to know if you had an affair with Hayden?’ And of course she said, ‘I deny, no doktora, never, ganyan.’

“So I said, ‘Katrina, it’s very important to me that you tell the truth. But before you answer, I want you to know that I have seen some videos which definitely will prove that you [two] did have an affair. And then she said, ‘Oo doktora, pero naglalaro lang naman kami. Hindi naman seryoso yun.’”

Halili admitted having dinner with Belo but denied saying she did not have an affair with Hayden.

“Alam ko naman po na yun ang paguusapan [so when she invited me], hindi naman po ako nagdalawang isip. Ang hirap din naman po ng sitwasyon na yun na aaminin ko po sa kanya [pero] sabi ko, ‘Sige po, pupunta ako.’

“Hindi po ako nag-deny [at] hindi ko din po sinabing naglaro lang ako.”

In the episode, Belo and Halili showed two disparate emotions. Vicki was composed, while Katrina was crying, seemingly nearing a breakdown.

Belo said she felt betrayed by a friend. “Ang tingin ko sa kanya (Katrina), parang, oh my God, parang wala lang silang iniisip, parang nag-eenjoy lang. [That] they don’t understand how much it would hurt me. And then she goes, ‘I’m really sorry, tao lang po ako. Please forgive me.’”

Vicki said she only forgave Katrina because she [Vicki] had done the same to Hayden.

“I’m not the type to make sigaw or anything. At the end of the day, I [still] greeted her, ‘Merry Christmas’. I gave her a gift - a Chanel bag - and I thought we were [already] okay. So, now, parang ano ‘to, di ba?”

Belo added: “Parang nabaligtad na yata ang mundo. Ang alam ko, biktima ako rito. Ako ang pinakamalaking biktima, I think. Pero ang nangyayari ngayon, ako na ang idinedemanda. Ako na ang inaano… na ako ang nag-upload ng videos. Ano nangyari rito? I think, it’s time naman na magsalita ako para ipagtanggol ang sarili ko.”

When Katrina spoke up, she started out subdued before progressing into tears.

“Nagtapos po kami nang maayos noon,” she said. “Yung sinabi niya (Dr. Belo) kanina na itinuturo ko raw [na] siya [ang tao] na nag-upload, patunayan niya po na sinabi ko yon.”

Halili emphasized that never in her statement did she identify Belo as the one who uploaded the video. Rather,  it was Erik Chua, a friend of Hayden’s, who claimed Vicki was the one who did so.

“Wala po akong itinuturong tao. Ang sa akin lang, siyempre po, gusto ko pong malaman kung sino ang nagkalat nun,” she said.

Although Katrina said she felt ostracized because of the scandal, to the point that she lost job offers, “wala akong sinisi [kasi] kasalanan ko po.”

“Pumasok ako sa relasyon na yun at ito ang idinulot sa akin ng ginawa ko. Tinatanggap ko.

“Pero yung nilabas pa po ang video, parang sobra-sobra naman po! Sobra-sobrang pandudurog ang ginawa sa akin.”

She added that the whole thing seemed orchestrated.

“Noong paglabas ng video, may mga nag-text [daw] sa mga reporters na panoorin yung video ko. Intention [talaga] akong sirain. Napakawalanghiya po nila!

“Ayoko na pong pag-usapan kung ano po yung napagusapan namin. Ayoko na po, tapos na po yun. Ayoko na pong ipagtanggol ang sarili ko.”
