Although their sweetness indicates romance, Dingdong Dantes and Marian Rivera remain vague on the real nature of their relationship.

“Sa ngayon, si Dingdong ang pinakamahalagang lalaki at ang pinakaimportanteng lalaki sa buhay ko,” Marian said on the matter during a recent guesting in “Showbiz Central. “

Marian did not give a straight ‘yes’ when asked if they were a couple. Instead, the actress asked the public to just be happy for them.

“Maging masaya na lang kayo sa amin, kasi masaya kaming magkasama. Masaya kami na open na kaming nakakalabas ngayon, nagdi-dinner, nanonood ng sine.. Hindi tulad noon na gusto man naming lumabas, hindi kami natutuloy dahil baka may sabihin ang mga tao.”

Dingdong echoed Marian’s statement when interviewed at a Kapuso event in Cebu.

“We’re happy together. Open kaming nakakalabas at sinusuportahan ko siya sa pagte-training niya sa ‘Darna.’ Kung may time siya, sumasama siya sa workout ko sa gym at itinuturo ko kung ano ang makakatutulong sa kanya para lalong lumakas ang stamina niya,” he said.

Hailed as the Most Phenomenal Loveteam on TV at the Box-Office Entertainment Awards by the Guillermo Mendoza Memorial Scholarship Foundation, Inc, the two are reaping the successes of their hit TV series “Marimar”, “Dyesebel” and “Ang Babaeng Hinugot Sa Aking Tadyang.”

Dingdong acknowledged:  “Hopefully, by next year, ay makagawa kami ng movies ni Marian. Sa ngayon kasi, magiging busy kami sa aming solo projects, pero we’re sure na matatapos nang masaya sa amin ang 2009.”

Marian is busy training for her role as local superhero, Darna, slated for airing in August. Dingdong is awaiting final casting for his much-awaited teleserye, “Stairway to Heaven” due in September.

Marian had emphasized before that Dingdong is a source of strength for her especially during times when intrigues hound her.

“Nagtutulungan kaming dalawa. Doon ako bumilib kay Dingdong - never niya akong binitawan,” said Marian who also credits Dingdong for always reminding her to pray and go to church.

In February, the two confirmed that they call each other “Yummy and Daddy.”

“Yung ‘Yummy’ kasi, di ba, YanYan yung nickname niya? Minsan, we play game with each other’s namans, like Yan, Yum… Yung ‘Daddy’ naman, sounds like DD (Dingdong),” said Dingdong.

Aside from the terms of endearment, Dingdong and Marian admitted that they gave each other special gifts last Christmas. Marian gave Dingdong an Omega watch, and he gave her an expensive bracelet.

Marian cited Dingdong as one of the reasons she looks radiant these days which led to her being named by a magazine as ‘Most Beautiful’ among local celebrities.

As for Dingdong, once reacting to the ribbing of Direk Joyce Bernal to admit to his and Marian’s relationship, he said: “Hindi ko ipagkakaila kung anuman ang meron kami ngayon. At kung anuman yun, I’d like to keep it that way.”
