TV host-actress Ruffa Gutierrez asked the public Sunday, June 7, to allow her and her mother Annabelle Rama to “solve on our own” their “family problems” that have been rumored to involve one of Ruffa’s suitors.
 
“Yes, may mga pinagdadaanan kami ngayon (ng mom ko)…mahirap ang mga pinagdadaanan namin…but this is just between my mom and I,” Ruffa said on the entertainment talk show program she co-hosts, “The Buzz.”
 
Although Ruffa did not elaborate on the issue or name names, she apologized to people who have been involved.
 
“Sa lahat po ng taong nadadamay, you know who you are, I swear from the bottom of my heart (that) I truly apologize. Wala kayong kinalaman dito,” she said.

 
Ruffa refers to rumors that broke out on June 6 that she and her daughters Lorin and Venice were thrown out of her parents’ house in Dasmarinas Village, Makati City, allegedly because Annabelle disapproved of a young man who is courting Ruffa.
 
“Pinalayas…that news is exaggerated,” Ruffa said. “My Dad (actor Eddie Gutierrez) even escorted us out of the house…nagpapalamig lang muna kami.”
 
The actress added that from the start, she has had plans to move out of her parents’ house eventually. She said that she only temporarily lived with them to “save money.”
 
“Yun naman talaga ang usapan namin before I moved to the main house. I wanted to save money para makabukod ako kasi mahal mag-rent,” she said.
 
Startalk, the entertainment talk show program that made the scoop, reported that Annabelle allegedly chided Ruffa’s rumored suitor by saying, “‘Ang bata-bata mo pa, nanliligaw ka sa babaeng may dalawang anak na!’”
 
The report also said that Annabelle allegedly commented on the suitor’s efforts in wooing Ruffa by lavishing the actress with gifts and food.
 
Ruffa remained mum on the matter.
 
She, instead, said that she loves and respects her mother, and that “ayoko na siyang sagutin para di na lalong humaba ang ganitong klaseng usapan.”
 
“Kahit po I’m a public person, I’d like to keep our family problems within the home. Madami pang pwedeng pagusapan kaya wag na nating gawin na issue ito. Problemang pamilya lang ‘to.”
