DOT joins private sector in 'Ingat Angat'

The Department of Tourism (DOT) is one with the private sector in supporting the Ingat Angat campaign to boost the country’s economic recovery, while keeping the health and well-being of Filipinos a priority.

Launched by Taskforce T3 (Test, Trace, Treat), a multi-sectoral public-private consortium working closely with government agencies to contain the spread of the dreaded novel coronavirus disease in the country, Ingat Angat is a private sector-led campaign that aims to restart the Philippine economy by urging Filipinos to be vigilant.

The program also aims to support the acceleration of testing capacity, isolation, and treatment centers.

“By washing our hands frequently, wearing a mask and face shield at all times, and maintaining our distance in our everyday life, we will all get back on our feet safely and surely,” the group said on its website.

Taking on a holistic approach to curb the COVID-19 status in the Philippines, the program had reportedly set up 99 labs nationwide and conducted around 1,800,000 tests nationwide since August. The goal is to conduct 10 million tests across the country by June 2021.
