PLM deploys COVID-19 task force as part of its pandemic response

By MB Online The Pamantasan ng Lungsod ng Maynila (PLM) has deployed its own COVID-19 task force as part of the university’s response to the coronavirus disease (COVID-19) pandemic. The task force will create new rules, policies, and update existing campus rules that will align with the issuances of the Department of Health, the Inter-Agency Task Force for the Management of Emerging Infectious Diseases, and the World Health Organization.
They will also review and recommend workplace guidelines, write a COVID-19 Preparedness Manual that will be implemented in the university, and create and launch information campaigns to raise public awareness regarding COVID-19. The reconstitution of the PLM COVID-19 Task Force was ordered by university president Emmanuel Leyco, who also directed all university units to fully cooperate with the COVID-19 Task Force and implement the guidelines. The task force will be led by PLM’s medical experts and supported by the management to review existing guidelines on the prevention and management of COVID-19 cases within the PLM community.
