Dingdong on network transfer, Marian-Sid 'confrontation' rumors

MANILA, Philippines – Dingdong Dantes’ award-winning starring role in the Star Cinema-produced “Segunda Mano” last year apparently caused the buzz that he might leave his mother network GMA-7 for ABS-CBN.
However, the actor, who also co-produced the film alongside co-star Kris Aquino, downplayed this claim, telling PEP in an interview posted on Feb. 10, “Siguro baka nagkataon na maiisip talaga 'yon because I was privileged to do a project in Star Cinema.”
According to Dingdong, the project was made possible through “magandang pag-uusap ng kampo namin, ng GMA, and of course ng Star Cinema,” noting that such instances are rare.
“That's why I'm grateful they made this collaboration possible,” he said.
It's happening here in my home network, so okay na 'yon,” he was quoted as saying, stressing that he’s “very happy here.”
Asked if he’ll be doing another flick with Star Cinema sometime in the future, Dingdong wasn’t sure.
“Kung dati iniisip n'yo, e, baka imposibleng makagawa ako ng movie outside of GMA, but still, it became possible.
“So anything can be possible, depende rin sa tamang intensiyon, tamang panahon, and probably tamang pagkakataon,” he said.
Meanwhile, Dingdong admitted hearing about the rumor that his longtime girlfriend Marian Rivera allegedly had a “confrontation” with co-star Sid Lucero on the last few days of taping for their recently-concluded epicserye “Amaya” straight from her. The article did not mention what caused the rumored argument.
He, however, shared that he asked Marian if there’s any problem, to which she replied that there’s none.
“I don't want to get into details na kasi baka... Siya ang nagkuwento. Sabi naman niya, wala. So I really don't wanna say anything 'coz I really don't know what happened,” he told PEP.
Dingdong related that he hasn’t been able to talk to his best friend and Sid’s half-brother Gabby Eigenmann, adding, “Siguro the fact na walang gan'ung usapan is because wala talagang nangyari.”
With that, the Kapuso actor maintained that he “will trust Marian's word and what she says.”
Marian and Sid have yet to speak up about the issue as of this writing.
