Sarah and Gerald deny alleged plan to quit showbiz

MANILA, Philippines - Gerald Anderson and Sarah Geronimo have vehemently denied rumors that they are planning to quit show business. In a joint interview on “The Buzz” Sunday, April 3, the two said there is no reason for them to turn their back on their lucrative careers.
“Sobra akong blessed ngayon at ayokong iwan ang kung anong meron ako ngayon," Anderson said.
He denied that he is set to start a career in basketball as many concluded after seeing him in practice with players of the Philippine Basketball Association Developmental League (PBA D-League).
"Naki-practice lang po ako kasama nila,” said he. “Medyo maluwag [kasi] ang schedule ko ngayon and I wanted to stay fit and healthy so naki-practice ako sa kanila, and they were very accommodating."
Geronimo, on the other hand, surmised that rumors of her quitting show business might have been ignited by an announcement she made a couple of weeks ago, where she intimated her desire to concentrate on studies after working on her movie with Anderson, “Catch Me I'm In Love.”
According to Geronimo, what she meant did not necessarily mean academics. “Nag-aaral naman po ako ngayon,” she said. “Ang gusto ko po sana eh, sa ngayon, to improve myself. Gusto ko mag-dance lesson, voice lesson, para ma-improve pa sana ang skills ko, ganun.”
To this end, Geronimo said she plans to go to the States with her mom. ”Later this April siguro, hopefully,” she shared.
Anderson and Geronimo’s “Catch Me I'm In Love,” has reportedly earned more than P100 million in ticket sales since it premiered late last month. It was the first time the two were paired together.
