As the nation waits for President Duterte’s decision on the country's quarantine measures after June 15, Malacañang revealed that officials from six areas have appealed to the COVID-19 task force to be placed under a higher quarantine classification.

(OPS / FILE PHOTO / MANILA BULLETIN) In his Monday press briefing, Presidential spokesman Harry Roque said Cebu City, a highrisk area that is under the General Community Quarantine (GCQ) until June 15, appealed to the Inter-Agency Task Force for the Management of Emerging Infectious Diseases (IATF) to be escalated back to modified enhanced community quarantine (MECQ). The following areas also appealed to be placed back under GCQ from the modified GCQ:
