The National Capital Region Police Office (NCRPO) said Tuesday that they will coordinate with the Philippine Coast Guard (PCG) to conduct a search and rescue operation on the other possible victims of the suspects who killed the sister of actress Rochelle Barrameda.

Also, Barrameda has appealed to the Jimenezes to allow her two nieces to visit the wake of her sister Ruby Rose at the Sampalok Room of Funeraria Paz, located in the premises of the Manila Memorial Park (MMP) in Parañaque City.

Barrameda made the appeal during a press conference conducted by the Volunteers Against Crime and Corruption (VACC) founding chairman Dante Jimenez and Gabriela Partylist Representative Liza Masa held at the wake of her sister.

Barrameda also appealed to the government to intercede on the case so that her sister’s two children, Marga, 9 and Martha, 2, would be allowed to visit the wake before the interment.

Ruby Rose’s interment should have been scheduled Tuesday. But the Barramedas decided to extend the wake until Wednesday after they filed a motion of temporary protection order before Las Piñas regional trial court (RTC) Judge Gloria Aglugub of Branch 254 for visitation rights of the two children during the wake.

Barrameda said that her sister’s husband, Manuel “Third” Jimenez III, has relayed to Marga what had happened to her mother.

But the next day, when Jimenez was interviewed, he said that Marga decided not to go to the wake saying that she was afraid that her father might be arrested.

Barrameda said that if her two nieces could still not attend the wake, the interment will push through as scheduled.

“Kung hindi man dumating ang mga pamangkin ko hanggang sa araw ng libing, sana hindi pagsisihan ng mga Jimenez ang ginawa nilang pagdadamot na ito sa napakasimpleng hiling at hindi sila masisi ng mga anak ni Ruby sa bandang huli,” the tear-eyed Barrameda said.

NCRPO Chief Director Roberto Rosales said that they will coordinate with the PCG with the assistance of diving teams to determine if there are still bodies stocked at the Navotas Fish Shore based on the testimony of Manuel Montero, 39, confessed killer of Ruby Rose.

Rosales said that Montero claimed that brothers, Atty. Manuel and Lope Jimenez, suspected mastermind in the murder of Ruby Rose, have allegedly ordered the killing of other people who were also ordered thrown off Natovas shore.

He said that Montero mentioned that a business rival of the brothers were also thrown and stocked off Navotas shore.

The NCRPO has yet to identify the slain business rival.
