BREAKING NEWS: MOA Globe Goes Missing

The iconic SM Mall of Asia Globe or MOA Globe has been taken away by unknown personalities in what appears to be a well-planned heist.

Residents and bystanders around the MOA Complex have reported an unusual activity late last night, after a military-grade helicopter took the globe away using some sort of equipment.

Motorcycle rider Chester Allan D. Tangonan was able to record the heist that showed a helicopter hovering above the MOA Globe at around 11:00 pm, and slowly descending with a harness that hooked onto the structure before lifting it off. This was captured by his action cam and went viral online upon posting.

Other netizens also shared their own photos and videos of the incident, from nearby condo residents and motorists passing by. Another viral video that surfaced early today is that of a netizen who jogged around the area and entered the site of the globe. The footage showed the chaotic aftermath of the heist along with one noticeable piece of evidence- a mask, which was believed to be left behind by the perpetrator.

The SM Mall of Asia Management was quick to release a statement confirming the incident reported by witnesses:

PUBLIC NOTICE
“SM Mall of Asia is currently working with authorities in investigating the MOA Globe incident. With our security measures in place, rest assured that the SM Mall of Asia continues to be a safe space for your family and friends.”

Authorities are now investigating the situation after several messages pertaining to the MOA globe heist have been left by the culprits in various locations. The messages “Look out world, I've got you now,” “That MOA Globe is heavy,” and “Do you want the MOA Globe back?” have been found in EDSA Orense and EDSA Malibay while other similar messages were also seen in CCP, Bacoor, Market Market, Paragon Rizal, and even in Batangas.
