Duterte is in Davao City, not abroad --Senator Go

President Duterte's long-time aide Senator Bong Go debunked the rumor that the Chief Executive flew to another country by uploading a photo of him and his family inside his Davao City home.

Go uploaded Duterte's photo on Facebook after rumors of President Duterte going to Singapore for medical treatment surfaced on social media over the weekend.

The photo showed Duterte having a meal with his common-law wife Honeylet Avanceña together with their daughter Veronica who is cuddling a toddler.

In the photo, Avanceña was showing a copy of Manila Bulletin's August 17, 2020 issue.

In his post, Go hoped that the people behind the fake news will realize that what they did was wrong.

"Sa mga nagpapakalat ng fake news, makonsensya naman kayo (To those who are spreading fake news, I hope you listen to your conscience)," he wrote in his post.

"Ang Pangulo ay nasa Pilipinas lamang at handang magserbisyo sa kapwa Pilipino (The President is just in the Philippines ready to serve his fellow Filipinos)!!!" he added.

Presidential spokesman Harry Roque on Monday assured the public that President Duterte never went out of the country and that the public has nothing to worry about the President's condition.

"Wala po . Fake news po ang pag-alis ng Pilipinas ng ating Presidente (There's no reason to be concerned. Reports about him leaving the country are fake)," he said.

"Nananatili po siya sa Davao, hindi po siya umaalis ng Pilipinas (He's been in Davao City and has not left the country) and his health is fine," he added.
